What is Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS)?
Beta Gamma Sigma is an invitation-only international business honor society for AACSB-accredited schools, which are the top 5% of business school programs around the world.
The Labovitz School of Business and Economics is fortunate enough to have an active and flourishing chapter of BGS.
"If BGS is invitation only, who is invited to join?"
You'll receive an invite if you are:
- An undergraduate from second-semester sophomore and up in the top 10% of your class
- In the top 20% of master’s students after completing half of your program
- A doctoral candidate who has successfully defended your dissertation
- A transfer student who meets the above criteria and has completed one full year of coursework at your chapter’s university
- A select business faculty member of an AACSB-accredited school (UMD is!)
If you get invited to join BGS, it's the first step to gaining access to a global network of BGS members and programs designed to give you an advantage in today’s job market, along with benefits and services you can use throughout your academic and professional careers.
Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma starts with recognition as the "best in business" but delivers value for life.
