Anna Bjorsen, Academic Advisor
As academic advisor, Bjorsen provides guidance to students on courses, major and minor requirements, policies, and procedures, along with resources and strategies that help students be successful at UMD and beyond. She also manages and assists with processes in the LSBE Advising and Academic Services department and participates in committees.
“The best part of my job is making connections with students and seeing them grow, which was one of my favorite parts about teaching middle school science and math. (She did that before joining LSBE.) I enjoy listening to students’ stories and experiences while witnessing their self-discovery.”
Bjorsen loves to read, hike, cross-country ski, and travel.
“My favorite way to spend time is with my husband, Leo, and our three rescue animals: Spud and Frank (our dogs), and Bruce (our cat). One of our goals is to visit all U.S. National Parks.”
