Lynette Lewis, Executive Office and Administrative Specialist
Lewis has been the support staff for the 12 faculty members of LSBE’s Department of Economics and Health Care Management since January 2019. She is integral to the organization of the biannual Vose Speaker Series, the department honors events, and student engagement and alumni events. She also handles course scheduling, purchasing, budgets, researching policy, and long- and short-term department planning, along with other things as they arise. As part of the school’s CARE Committee, Lewis assists with the distribution of LSBE scholarships, and she oversees departmental scholarships.
The best part of her job, she says, is “working with the department’s faculty members, with the goal of doing whatever [she] can to make their jobs easier.
“Every day is different, and I’m super thankful for all the great people that make LSBE such a great place to be.”
Getting hired at LSBE wasn’t Lewis’s only big life change five years ago. After five weeks of working at UMD, she met her current husband, Curt. They wed in October 2022.
Lewis enjoys spending time with her family, whether it’s celebrating birthdays, holidays, traveling (warm places), going to their cabin, or just being together. She also hikes, takes walks with her mom, reads, works out, and does house projects.
