Kristen Lesemann, Executive Office and Administrative Specialist
As support staff for the LSBE Department of Accounting and Finance, Lesemann provides administrative support to 17 faculty, which includes the Accounting, Finance, Financial Markets Program, and the Financial Planning Program. In her role, she assists with all things relating to finances/budget and class scheduling and logistics. She provides guidance on university policy and procedures and bridges what faculty are looking to accomplish in their research/teaching/service roles. Lesemann also provides the behind-the-scenes support for the Accounting & Finance Career Day event, the Accounting student club, and Financial Planning student club. At the university level, Lesemann is a volunteer for the annual commencement ceremony.
But the best part of her job is “being a part of a student’s journey to success,” she said, “whether it’s helping a student make an appointment with their faculty advisor, completing a petition, or just being there as someone to listen or offer advice. I have been told on more than one occasion that I am known as their Duluth Mom. What an honor that is!"
In the summer, Lesemann and her husband, Jim, can be found at Duluth’s Frank Wade Municipal Stadium (the Wade) watching the Duluth Huskies baseball team.
“Jim and I are wrapping up our eighth season as a host family for Huskies collegiate baseball players. We love getting to know players from all over the country and enjoy being a part of their journey to success as well!
