Professional Title
Student Success Advisor

I moved back to Duluth and landed my dream job: Student Success Advisor at UMD! I myself graduated from UMD with a BA in Anthropology and Women's Studies. Since then I always knew I’d be back one day to advise students. I also have my MS in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and teaching certification from Hamline University. Prior to becoming an academic advisor, I was a middle and high school social studies teacher for over a decade. Prior to that, I worked as an archaeologist in Wisconsin and Illinois (along with a little archaeological survey work in Ireland). I’ve lived in a lot of places and thanks to the UMD Study Abroad Program I – at one point – lived in England, and it is there that I found my love for travel.

I’m excited to be advising in LSBE and look forward to guiding students on their own academic journeys!
