Management Information Systems (MIS) is the design, implementation, support, and management of information systems. All aspects of business use some form of an information system. Students who enroll in this major will learn how to put technology to work. As an MIS student, you will learn how to deal with practical problems and how to create technology-based solutions to organization problems.
In FMIS 2201, you will be introduced to IT concepts including computer hardware, software, use of personal productivity tools, such as spreadsheets, databases, system development processes, and web technologies. With a degree in MIS from LSBE, you will be able to work as a chief information officer, computer specialist, programmer, designer, system analyst, or project manager.
